Postage stamps, like other elements, are products of their time. Thus, at the beginning of the 20th century, they were influenced by the artistic trends of the time, such as Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
In this web, we will try to show the visitor, the different stamps that were made at that time and that complement the artistic panorama of the beginning of the century and that had its reflection in architecture, painting, sculpture or domestic objects, and also, in the postage stamps.
Although it is true that there are many stamps made in the years after these artistic movements (for example the paintings of G. Klimt), for the moment I have not included them because I am interested in the works in their chronological context. This does not mean that later a section of «tribute» to these artists will be done.
Also as an artistic medium, postage stamps have their masters, designers and engravers who made and still make small jewels in tiny fragments of paper.
For this section we have not marked any chronological limit, we will be including those people whose artistic production has been recognized so that the visitor of the web can admire their work and have the desire to deepen and perhaps collect it. I will try that the issues that I show you are economically affordable, in order to be able to make a fascinating stamp collection.
